A very cold day with a long car journey away to Fraserburgh might provide the excuse for our poor start. Craig opened the scoring but unfortunately for the home team, we will forget about the first 20mins seeing our team go down by 4 to nil.
First 3rd = 4-0.

The second 20mins saw Jake step into defence with Craing comming off, Jonny had been pushed out wide left with Tim pulling into defence with Bryce and Jake. A lack of attention saw the home side score another 2. We were really up against it 6-0 after 30mins!! The come back started with the now well cultured right foot and cool head of JONNY RUMSEY slotting home a great stike for Insch's first goal. It was answered one minute later by another Fraserburgh goal. Our captain BRYCE DAWSON got some wind back in his sails and scored the goal that got our head's back up, a great individual captain's goal!
Second 3rd = 7-2.

A brief stern talk, given in the break, gave Ali & Ryan a rattle up and asked the rest of the team for more of the same. 1 minute into the last 20 saw Ryan brought down on the right side, Ali stepped in to take the free kick and curled a low swinger round the wall coming off a defender straight to RYAN STEWART who span and sank the ball like a professional low and right past the keeper. Ryan started to shine showing the determination asked for in the break. Hard tackling in the centre of the pitch say Ryan spread the ball wide left to Jonny who linked well with Kyran setting Ryan through on goal to beat the last defender and RYAN STEWART scored his second of the match. Fraserburgh made it 8-4 only 2 mins later. A call from the side line changed Jonny for Craig on the left wing and asked for 4 goals in 15mins. The lads could see what was required with Bryce asking for more from his team the tempo was raised and benifits were quick in coming. Kyran's shot came off the keeper with ALI NAYSMITH sprinting into the back post to cut a fine angled ball in for his first goal of the game. Again the home side replyed swiftly 9-5. The lads were all starting to fade but Ryan's hard battling was keeping our hopes alive with various efforts from him, Craig and Kyran just going wide. ALI NAYSMITH scored another two goals to complete a fine HATTRICK.
Final score 9-7 Home win.

We made hard work of this one with a good lot of defensive work required in training over the coming weeks. 6-0 down we fought well to bring it back to 9-7. Jonny played very well again in the midfield, Kyran and Ali both played very well. Craig looked more comfortable on the left wing. RYAN STEWART was head and shoulders above the rest with an outstanding performance and was rightly voted as Player of the Match by guest coach Bob Lyons and various members of the crowd. Well deserved.

A first half struggle but a well fought second half. Fraserburgh were a big strong well disciplined team, very well drilled but we got the better of them in the latter stages of the game. Well done you all, we'll reflect on this one at training next week.
